Allan was taken ill on Saturday 27th December, developed sepsis from kidney and his gall stone.
Passed on Monday 29th December 2025, aged 91 years.
Allan joined Qantas Airways from British Eagle, before which he worked in the UK for a Spanish tourism company, and became very proficient in Spanish as a result.
His linguistic and overall talents were well recognised within QF, resulting in a number of positions in the UK and abroad. In addition to senior Marketing roles within the UK, these included postings to Athens, as Country Manager Greece, Vienna as Manager Austria/E Europe and latterly in Buenos Aires.
Allan was also a born raconteur, with a great penchant for humour, varying languages and their accents.
After retiring he was involved in further education and did walking tours of Hadrian’s Wall and in Kingston upon Thames (where he lived with Sally and their family).
