A Message To All Our Veteran Traffic Friends:

It is with sadness that I must bring you the news of the passing of our dear friend, Bev Cohen.
Bev. joined Qantas in May 1970 and commenced her Flight Hostess role in July of that year. Following her marriage, she transferred into Traffic as a Customer Service agent in August 1973 .
Bev. remained in Traffic for several years, during which time she was highly respected and a keen operator.

She was always a bright, enthusiastic and reliable member of your team.
Her ambition took her into the world of Travel Agencies and she joined Mike Sawyer when he started up World Interline Tours.

From there she and a friend established their own agency, Casanna Travel, which she later renamed Wentworth Travel. Bev. remained with her agency and received many awards and accolades for her work within the industry.

She supported our Pathfinders Auxiliary in their fundraising efforts for the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children.

Bev was diagnosed with her first cancer exactly 9 years ago and has fought valiantly through four different forms with enormous courage.

More recently she has been a great supporter for the charity ‘WomanCan’ and asks friends to direct their donations there in lieu of flowers.

Bev sadly passed away on Friday, 23rd June 2023. Our condolences go out to her family and close friends.

A private family burial will be held at Waverley Cemetery and followed by a celebration of her life at St. Marks Church, Darling Point.

This will take place for family and friends on Thursday, 6th July to commence at 11.00 am.

Rest in peace Bev. Your work is now done.
