Doug Cremer passed away in the nursing home on Sunday morning 03rd December 2023, just after 9am. He was 79, a month away from his 80th.
Sadly Doug had severe Dementia. For the last week or two he was rapidly deteriorating, unresponsive.
A number of us worked with Doug in Qantas Reservations, including on the 24hours PTA shift roster. Doug was an excellent colleague, he was a character with his naughty smile and his subtle humour.
After leaving Qantas , Doug joined Air Vanuatu, passenger reservations. He stayed their until he retired from the Airline Industry to pursue his passion, Opera.
Doug spent many years working with the Joan Sutherland Opera foundation. As a result was awarded a OAM.
