Words from Darryl McGuire:
I worked with Jeff in BNE TSV CNS & POM.
In TSV we and 2 others were founding members of the TSV H3 (Hash House Harriers) A course and trail were set you'd do the run and when you got back to the start there were refreshments to be consumed
There was no time limit set to finish the drinks.
He worked in BNE Reservations when I was the BNE TKT Office
I was his Supervisor in TSV. Then as Manager QLD PNG for QH I further worked with him in CNS & POM
Visited him in HRE on Agent Educationals that I was escorting. He was always very helpful in showing us the sights in HRE and gave of his time to extol the virtues of Zimbabwe.
When he came to Sydney, we would meet for a quiet drink and reminisce of times past. BUT for those who knew Jeff they were never quiet.
I followed his achievements post QF but he went missing after AIR Vanuatu. His friends in BNE were all trying to find what had happened to him. We now know he retired in PER.
All his friends in BNE were stunned when news started filtering out of his passing.
He was a terrific bloke and always fun.
I extend my deepest sympathies to Robyn and his 2 daughters.
We will miss him
Darryl McGuire
