Country/State:

Australia/NSW

Sydney

Date of Passing:

02/01/2021

It is with sadness that I must bring you the news of the passing of our dear friend, John Lyndon.
John’s time with us goes back to the early 70’s when he joined Qantas at the ‘New’ International Terminal.
As a ‘Traffic Officer’ his duties would have been customer service and ‘check-in counter’.
He later moved into the Load Control area where he remained for the rest of his career.
John was a happy, easy going and very likeable fellow. His smile will always be remembered.
Always happy to help out when your day got a bit hectic.
If John was on your shift, you had a reliable and friendly offsider.
(A good day for John was enjoying a ‘chicken chilli roll’ whilst discussing Chelsea’s latest game)
He will be well remembered and held in high regard by his colleagues and work friends.

John battled with Pancreatic Cancer for about a year and passed away peacefully on Saturday, 2nd January 2021.
Our thoughts go out to his beloved wife Mercedes, his son Daniel and all extended family and friends.
A family funeral will be held on Monday, 11th January 2021 at the Woronora Cemetery.
This is due to commence at 1300 hrs. (1.00 pm)
Rest in Peace, John.
