Living back in his native Scotland, he had been in ill health for some time and recently suffered a stroke, passing away on 27 May 2024.
Robert joined Qantas in January 1966 on the 1966 Junior Commercial Trainee (JCT) Intake. Shortly after completing the Scheme, he left Qantas in 1969. He eventually then returned to Scotland to work on his family farm.
May he rest in peace.
