Ron Mitchell

Ron joined Qantas on 30 May 1945. During his time at Qantas he worked in Singapore for two years before he was married, during the 1950s. The Qantas office at the time was at the Raffles Hotel. He also spent some time in Honolulu in 1960. Other than that, most of his time with Qantas was in Sydney, highlighted by time as the Reservations Manager. He retired on 30 June 1984, after nearly 40 years of service, holding the position of Passenger Reservations Planning Controller.
