A Message to All Our Veteran Traffic Friends:

It is with sadness that I must bring you the news of the passing of our friend and work mate, Tony Robinson.
Tony’s time with us goes back to the ‘Old Terminal Days’ when he joined Qantas in September 1965.
As a ‘Traffic Officer’ his duties were many and varied from Mail Room, Departure Gates, Arrival Hall and followed by a short stint on the Check-In Counter.
He ultimately spent most of his QF years working on the Ramp in several roles as a ‘Red Cap’ and often as Ramp Controller and Duty Airport Manager.
He was a gentleman to all who knew him and a pleasure to have on your shift.
Tony departed Qantas and with Susie, they moved up to Queensland where he found enjoyment in several different work areas.
He enjoyed his 15 years with the Queensland Art Gallery where he finally retired in 2012.

Tony passed away, aged 85, on Tuesday, 09 June 2026 after struggling through Parkinson’s Disease and associated issues.
His dear wife Susie by his side.
He left 4 children, 12 Grandchildren, one Great Grandchild with a second due in August.
Tony’s funeral service will take place on Wednesday, 17th June 2026, commencing at 2 pm.
Location will be within the Garden Chapel of the Great Southern Memorial Park.
1774-1794 Mt. Cotton Rd. Carbrook, Queensland.
Followed by a gathering at Manly/Wynnum Leagues Club - 92 Wondal Road Manly West at 3.30 pm.
