Gold Coast

Date of Passing:

Sadly, we have lost another JCT.

Warrick Coleborne, who was on the 1966 JCT Intake, unfortunately passed away on Monday morning 28 September 2026.

Warrick had not been in good health for some time and was in aged care for the last 2 years.

He was a good man with a big heart and never complained.

Our condolences go out to his wife Sharon and family.

A 'Celebration of Life' for Warrick will be held at the Currumbin Surf Club on Tuesday 06 October 2026 from 2.00pm to 5.00pm.

Kind regards

Chris Kewley

from Malcolm Dooley:
Thanks Chris, I always remember Warwick as a dashing fella, always well-presented and helpful to everyone. Had years in the 70s together in Hunter St QTB, sales and around the traps. Always sad to hear of another comrade gone, when in MY mind, they’re young enthusiastic JCTs.

from Peter Corfield:
R.I.P. Warrick
I was a student at Cronulla High School with Warrick, 63-65; played Football (soccer) with him for Cronulla RSL and Sutherland Reps ; Warrick excelled in the pool, particularly breaststroke.

from Sandy Grant:
Have to share this one. Warrick was training me in the Ticket Office. At the end of a long day, 10 minutes before closing, a customer came in with a RTW ticket requiring some really complex calculations. I sought Warrick's input and help. He pointed to three large IATA tariff books each the size of phone books. Looked at me smiled and then said. 'You will find your answer in one of those.' He then left for the day.

I was only thinking of Warrick a couple of days ago.
